About Us

 Our initiative is aimed at equipping students with foundational skills and industry-recognized certifications in various skilled trades, enabling them to transition seamlessly into apprenticeships or employment opportunities in high-demand sectors. Our Funding is centered around our people and covers the complete cost and/or expense any student was to encounter. 

 Our Skilled Trade Pre-Apprenticeship Program provides Michigan residents, with a concentrated drive on Saginaw County residents with hands-on training in areas such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, welding, and HVAC. Participants receive industry-recognized certifications, gaining practical experience in these trades before entering full-fledged apprenticeships or careers in the trades sector. 

1. Enhance Skills Development: Offer specialized coursework and practical training aligned with current industry standards.
2. Increase Workforce Readiness: Prepare students to immediately transition into apprenticeships or employment in the skilled trades.
3. Improve Local Economic Growth: Address the workforce shortage in the skilled trades sector in Saginaw County by developing a highly skilled local labor force.
4. Provide Real-World Experience: Enable students to work alongside professionals in internships and hands-on training environments.

 Saginaw County, like many other areas, is facing a shortage of skilled labor in key industries, including construction, manufacturing, and utilities. 

By investing in the next generation of skilled tradespeople, this program addresses workforce gaps while offering students a pathway to stable, high-paying careers. This program will also help decrease unemployment and underemployment rates, particularly among young people, and foster long-term economic growth in the region.
